Face Time with Tim Treutler

St. Charles resident Tim Treutler was playing with his dog at the dog park near the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Arlington Heights

Pets? Tede, a German Shepherd

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Matthew McConaughey

First job? At my dad’s carpentry and construction business, sweeping up for a quarter an hour

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A carpenter. I work for a defense company instead.

A movie you’d recommend? “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”

Favorite charity? Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin.

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy”

Favorite local restaurant? Stockholm’s in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I logged 10,000 miles on a bicycle in 10 years, going across the country through the south and west.
