St. Charles woman wins Predict the Oscars Contest

ST. CHARLES – St. Charles resident Rosemary Leppert won a Classic Cinemas yearlong movie pass and two VIP admissions and special event passes to Brookfield Zoo from Charlestowne 18 in St. Charles, for winning the theater’s Predict the Oscars Contest.

Leppert was one of 7,608 participants to cast a ballot during the six-week contest. 

To win, customers needed to predict all seven categories correctly: best picture, best director, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best supporting actress and best animated film.

“I visit the Charlestowne 18 theater almost every Friday for the past five years, and my family always asks me for my critique of the movies,” said Leppert in a news release.  “I’m their personal movie critic, and my children and grandchildren will often call me on Saturdays to check in about what I saw the day before.”

Leppert has entered the Predict the Oscars Contest before, but has never won.
