[Photo submitted by Association for Individual Development]The Association for Individual Development’s 15th annual Telethon was televised live at Waubonsee Community College on March 15. The 10-hour event was broadcasted to over 30 television stations around the Fox Valley area, as well as online at the AID Website. With the help of over 800 volunteers, AID was able to raise funds for programs & services benefiting nearly 5,000 children & adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness and special needs as they work toward their goals of independence and community inclusion. Wang bested Mill Creek Elementary School’s Pi Day record by 85 digits during the school’s annual Pi Day grade level event March 14 by memorizing and reciting 550 digits of Pi. Downing founded and operates Nourish, a food education company. "Revolution" is the library's One Book, One Batavia selection. Downing discussed how Allen founded his Milwaukee urban farm which produced 40 tons of vegetables last year.
