Batavia police reports

• Two residents reported being the victim of fraud in filing their income taxes. On Monday, March 24, a resident in the 100 block of Jefferson Street reported going to file his taxes and was advised they already had been filed March 13 and the refund sent to an account in Orlando, Fla. On Thursday, March 27, a resident in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue reported going to file her income taxes, only to find they had already been filed using her Social Security number.

• An iPhone valued at more than $500 was reported stolen Monday, March 24, from a table at Batavia High School, 1201 Main St.

• Austin C. Hasil, 23, of the 1400 Holbrook Lane, Batavia, was charged Saturday, March  22, with driving under the influence, improper lane use and driving without insurance.
