Vero Voce to present ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’

ST. CHARLES – Vero Voce will present the musical “The Velveteen Rabbit,” running Saturdays and Sundays April 12 through 19.

Performances will take place at 1 and 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. There will not be a show on Easter – Sunday, April 20.

“The Velveteen Rabbit” is a Scott Davidson adaptation of Margery Williams’ classic.  is It’s a tale of love and sacrifice as revealed through the story of a small, stuffed rabbit given as a gift to a little boy. The toy rabbit is made real through the child’s love.

The musical is produced and directed by Vero Voce’s Dennis Brown, with musical direction by Dawn Harkins.

The show will feature the talents of Elgin residents Emily Menke, Cynthia and Leslie Cruz, Macey and Morgan Buckman, Alaina, Charlie and Jordie Karner; South Elgin resident Amelia Hutson; Maple Park resident Christina Rausch; Batavia resident Tori McKeehan; Geneva residents Abageal Phelan and Isabelle Schamberger; and St. Charles residents Daniel Hommowun, Riley Brutto Miranda Keigher, Skylar Knorr, Kayla and Ryan Bussert, and McKenzie Oster.
