Police Reports

St. Charles police reports

• Jose A. Luengo, 56, of the 600 block of Elm Street, Wheaton, was charged Sunday, March 30, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent and speeding.

• James R. Strachan, 52, of the 1500 block of Allen Lane, St. Charles, was charged Saturday, March 29, with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.

• Julie A. Brungard, 46, of the 0-100 block of White Oak Circle, St. Charles, received barking dog citations Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29. Someone reportedly complained Friday that she lets large dogs bark and howl at all times of the day.

• Thomas E. Ventresca, 31, and Gail Marie Ventresca, 58, both of the 900 block of Oak Street, West Chicago, were charged Friday, March 28, with retail theft for reportedly stealing $105.89 in merchandise from Walmart, 150 Smith Road, St. Charles. They were each charged with stealing $52.95 in merchandise, police reported.

• Matthew J. Gentile, 27, of the 41W800 block of Oak Hill Drive, St. Charles, was charged Friday, March 28, with criminal trespass.

• Daniel Elijah Love, 21, of the 200 block of Grand Ridge road, St. Charles, was arrested Thursday, March 27, on three warrants. The warrants were for the following: aggravated battery; failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; and failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana.
