NEW LENOX – Long practice season, long bus ride, short outing against Providence.

Marmion wasted no time in Monday’s season opener, handling the Celtics, 5-0, and yielding just four matches combined. John Graft was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles.

“I think it’s a combination of a few things,” Cadets coach John Tsang said. “We certainly were ready to get some match play in. Also, I have a pretty strong group that is ready to go out there and compete.”

Every Cadet was off the court in less than an hour, Tsang said.
