Editor’s Notebook: Arts conference discussed on ‘Viewpoint’
The latest episode of the BATV show “Viewpoint” is available for watching at mybatv.com.
During the episode, four show guests discussed the upcoming Chicago Suburban Arts Conference, which will take place May 3 at multiple venues in downtown St. Charles.
Guests were Jim Kirkhoff, co-founder and director of development and public relations for Water Street Studios in Batavia, and president of the Water Street Studios Board of Directors; Joi Cuartero, co-founder of Water Street Studios and member of the Water Street Studios Board; Amanda Harris, arts director for Side Street Studios in Elgin and executive director of Core Project Chicago; and Jimi Allen, president of Jimi Allen Productions and founder of the Gravity Building in Aurora.
I moderated the discussion, which focused on the arts conference and its goal of empowering artists with information to help them collaborate with others on projects.
The Kane County Chronicle is planning to publish a full story about the conference next week. To learn more about how to participate in the event, visit ChicagoSuburbanArtsConference.org or email ChicagoSuburbanArtsConference@gmail.com.
