Kane County Sheriff’s Office police reports

• A resident of the 42W500 block of Hidden Springs Drive, St. Charles, reported Thursday, April 3, she filed her taxes in early March, and on March 19 got a letter from the Illinois Department of Revenue stating someone was trying to use her Social Security number to file taxes.

• A vehicle and four to five subjects were seen trespassing Friday, April 4, on a property in the 1N800 block of Brundige Road, Elburn.

• Emily E. Brodner, 18, of the 38W300 block of Clubhouse Drive, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, April 6, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A phone was reported stolen Sunday, April 6, from a car parked in the 37W500 block of Heritage Drive, Batavia. Estimated loss was $200.

• An “overweight truck” sign and metal post were reported stolen Monday, April 7, from the 44W200 block of I.C. Trail, Lily Lake.

• Rain gutters were reported stolen Monday, April 7, from a home in the 0N200 block of North Mill Creek Drive near Geneva. The rain gutters were reportedly replaced with plastic gutters in a different color. This was the second time the gutters had been stolen, the victim told police.

• Paul D. Reilly, 39, of the 800 block of Carlsbad Lane, Elgin, was charged Tuesday, April 8, with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and speeding after reportedly striking a concrete median on Randall Road near Crane Road in St. Charles Township.
