LaFox Road construction set to start next week

Published: Monday, April 14, 2014 12:05 p.m. CDT

Roadway construction on LaFox Road, from Campton Hills Road to North Grand Monde Road, will start on Monday, April 21, and is expected to last approximately four months, weather permitting.

The work will include replacing a two box culverts, installing sheet pile along the western side of the road for stability, resurfacing, and landscaping. Construction will be completed in stages and require LaFox Road to be reduced to one lane throughout the project corridor.

Temporary traffic signals will be installed on LaFox Road to maintain traffic through the construction zone for the duration of the project. North Grand Monde Road will be closed at LaFox Road, and South Grand Monde Road will remain open to traffic. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone, and drivers are asked to watch for equipment entering and exiting on LaFox Road and expect increased travel times.

Questions or concerns may be directed to Patrick VerHalen, at 630-208-3138.
