GENEVA – Maureen Bryant has been named president of Delnor Hospital in Geneva and executive vice president of Cadence Health.

Cadence Health operates Delnor Hospital in Geneva and Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Bryant joined Cadence Health after previously serving as president and chief executive officer of the Fox River Valley Region for Presence Health. She has more than 25 years of executive healthcare leadership and management experience.

“We are fortunate to have a leader of Maureen’s caliber,” Cadence Health President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Vivoda said, according to a news release. “She has a proven track record of executive leadership in a changing market that challenges us to manage increasing demand, while improving efficiency as well as the patient, physician and employee experience.”

Before her time at Presence Health, she served as president and chief executive officer of Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton, Mass.; executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Albany Medical Center, Albany, N.Y.; senior vice president of operations at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio; and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.

“The opportunity to lead Delnor Hospital during this time of great change is truly exciting,” Bryant, according to the release. “I look forward to collaborating with a dedicated staff of health care professionals as we continue to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the residents of Geneva, the Fox River Valley region and beyond.”

She replaced Robert Friedberg, who left the system earlier this year to pursue an opportunity with a health care system in New York.
