Geneva resident Cheryl Pierini, 49, was at her garage sale during the Geneva Citywide Garage Sale when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Villa Park

Pets? A bichon frise named Stoki. It means mashed potatoes in Swiss-German.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Goldie Hawn

First job? Baby-sitting

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An actress. I became a dental hygienist.

A book you’d recommend? “Trinity” by Leon Uris

Favorite charity? Salvation Army, American Cancer Society – all of them

Do you speak another language? German. I lived in Switzerland for eight years.

Do you play an instrument? Piano

Favorite local restaurant? The Gratto Italian Tapas in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I was in communications in college and interviewed John Drury from WGN and WLS.
