Face Time with Joanne Rickard

St. Charles resident Joanne Rickard, 53, was at the Wasco Nursery in Campton Hills when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Elmhurst

Pets? Three cats named Jojo, Squish and Shenequa Chiquita Nubian Princess Rubels; and Winston, a German shepherd who is my best friend after my husband.

First job? Making fruit baskets for the Christmas holidays at Dominick’s

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A beautician. I became a medical biller instead.

A movie you’d recommend? “The NeverEnding Story”

Favorite charity? Any animal rescue

What game show would you be on? “Wheel of Fortune”

Favorite local restaurant? Sergio’s Cantina in Geneva

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met Burt Reynolds in Hawaii right after he and Loni Anderson broke up.
