Face time with Cyrus Amani

St. Charles resident Cyrus Amani, 17, was working at the Wasco Nursery in Campton Hills when he answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? St. Charles.

Pets? Two dogs, a golden retriever named Max, and a boxer named Lamar.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Me.

First job? Pizza delivery for White Cottage Pizza in Elgin.

What do you want to be when you grow up? As a kid, I wanted to be a football player. I am a senior at St. Charles North, going to graduate this year. And I want to be an architect.

A movie or book you'd recommend? "Limitless" for the movie and "Monster" by Walter Dean Myers for the book.

Favorite charity? I volunteered at an autism camp through high school.

What game show would you be on? "Jeopardy."

Favorite local restaurant? Zaza's in St. Charles.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I saved a little kid from drowning at Pottawatomie pool. I was a lifeguard, but I was not on duty at the time.
