Names to be added to Kane County Veterans Memorial

GENEVA – At 3 p.m. Monday, May 26, the Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission will be conducting a Memorial Day ceremony at the Kane County Veterans Memorial, where the names of Rachel Carey and William Holstine will be added to the Wall of Honor.

The memorial is at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva, on the front grounds of Building A. The guest speaker will be Col. Duane Buttell Jr., an Air Force veteran who flew combat missions in Vietnam and was awarded the Silver Star. Handicap parking and shuttle service will be available.
