Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A resident of the 6N600 block of Foley Lane, St. Charles, reported Friday, April 25, that the cable, electrical and phone box on her rear patio had been tampered with. Repairs were estimated at $200.

• Nicholas W. Kanehl, 22, of the 9N900 block of Muirhead Lane, Elgin, was charged Friday, May 9, with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of hypodermic syringes and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was reportedly found passed out in his car at Essex and Park avenues in St. Charles Township.

• A resident of the 39W200 block of Sheldon Lane in Blackberry Township reported Sunday, May 11, a screen on a back window had been cut, as if someone tried to open the window. Damage was estimated at $50.
