Performers wanted for STC Live! events

ST. CHARLES – The Downtown St. Charles Partnership seeks quality performers of all ages to take part in its summer program, STC Live!

The program kicks off Memorial Day Weekend, in conjunction with the St. Charles Fine Art show, and will be held Wednesday and Friday evenings through mid-September.

The purpose of STC Live! is to help create activity by coordinating live, free entertainment in downtown businesses and on the First Street Plaza, according to a news release.

The partnership is in search of artists, musicians and entertainers of different disciplines who have an interest in showcasing their talents to support downtown St. Charles.

“We want this program to promote our businesses, encourage people to explore all that our downtown offers, and expose the many talents of people in our community,” said Lynne Schwartz, the partnership’s executive director, according to the release.

Applicants should email their contact name, the name of act, a phone number, an e-mail address and a short description of the type and style of the act’s entertainment.

The applicants should submit at least two of these four items: A demo and examples of past work, a performance resume, three professional references or a website link with work examples or testimonials.

The STC Live! Committee will review information submitted by interested performers and begin arranging appropriate talent with interested businesses, the release stated.

Performers will have information listed on the partnership’s website. They will receive no pay, but they will receive publicity and promotion, according to the release.

The performing entity must present a professional, family-friendly performance including appropriate language and attire.
