ST. CHARLES – Master Chu Ma’s Hapkido-based Traditional Martial Arts Center relocated to a new location Feb.1, and also has a new name – Four Elements Traditional School of Martial Arts.

The new school is at 2015 Dean St., Suite 7B, located east of Randall Road.

The training facility has expanded to 4,000 square feet and features structural improvements, such as a new floor, additional heavy bags, large mirrors and two refurbished dressing rooms.

Ma’s program focuses on empowering students to defend themselves through a combination of joint locks, throws and traditional Korean-style punches and kicks.

Some additional programs also have been added. Classes include cardio kick-boxing; a women’s self-defense class; traditional weapons classes; and private lessons.

A grand opening event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the new facility.
