As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A baker. I became a medical records correspondent instead.
A book you’d recommend? “Paris: The Novel” by Edward Rutherfurd
Favorite charity? The Illinois Cochlear Implant Chapter, a nonprofit chapter of the national Hearing Loss Association of America. I had a cochlear implant 15 months ago. I had hearing loss from Ménière’s disease.
Favorite local restaurant? Josef’s deli in Geneva
What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I am the middle child of nine.
Anything else? When I worked at the Marriott Lincolnshire, I met Jean Stapleton, Ricardo Montalban and Barbara Eden.
