North Aurora resident David Moore,72, was looking at motorcycles at Fox River Harley-Davidson in St. Charles when he answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Tom Hanks

First job? Shoe salesman

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I did not give it much thought, but I became the owner of my own business, Dave’s Karaoke. I retired, but I still own it.

Do you play an instrument? Guitar, and I sing.

A movie you’d recommend? “Gladiator”

Favorite charity? St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee

What game show would you be on? “Jeopardy”

Do you speak another language? Spanish

Favorite local restaurant? Harner’s Bakery and Restaurant in North Aurora

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? My family worked at the Union Carbide plant in Oak Ridge that built the atomic bombs that were used in World War II. My father-in-law was a truck driver who loaded it and carried it to a rail yard in Paducah, Kentucky to put it on a train. My dad, my three brothers and my father-in-law all worked there.
