Chop Around the Clock set for 25th year

BATAVIA – This year marks the 25th year Foltos’ Tonsorial Parlor, at 7 E. Wilson St. in Batavia, has produced Chop Around the Clock. Beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, June 6, through 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, there will be haircuts, with proceeds donated to Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities. This 24-hour event will include music, dancing, bake sale, raffles, balloon blowing, bingo, open mic, poetry, hot dogs and more. Bakers, dancers, entertainers and customers are needed.

The schedule Friday, June 6 4 to 5 p.m.: Haircuts, food and balloon blowing 5 to 6 p.m.: Tacos, hot dogs and more 6 p.m.: The music begins, as well as the brisket cookout 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Kids’ games, and Ronald McDonald makes a guest appearance 8 to 11 p.m.: "World’s longest conga line," balloons, bingo, dancing, musicians, kids’ games and more Starting at 11 p.m.:  Music really gets started, stories, and late-night haircuts Saturday, June 7 8 a.m.: Bring breakfast 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Musical entertainment and kids’ games 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Face painting, more music, more food and haircuts.
