Face Time with Benjamin Wayne Fleehart

Elgin resident Benjamin Wayne Fleehart, 39, was watching the river at Old Mill Park in Geneva when he answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? St. Charles

Pets? A yellow lab named Sadie

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Kris Kristofferson

First job? At Burger King, and then I started my own lawn care business, Grassbusters, when I was 14 and worked at it until I was 21.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Football and music. I didn’t do football, but I do music. My company is Renegade, and I do management, promotions and entertainment for rock bands. Professionally, I use the name Benjamin Wayne.

A book or movie you’d recommend? “The Chamber” by John Grisham and “The Boondock Saints.” 

Favorite charity? Make-A-Wish Foundation

Favorite local restaurant? Isacco Kitchen in St. Charles

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met Sweetness – Walter Payton – when I did some work for him at the Roundhouse in Aurora. I also did shots of whiskey with C.C. DeVille, lead guitarist for the band Poison.
