Gretchen Mann cuddles her five-year-old son, Marshall, in their Sugar Grove home. The Mann family are trying raise to funds to purchase a service dog for Marshall, who has autism.

I spent some time a couple of weeks ago with the Mann family in their Sugar Grove home.

Jason and Gretchen Mann are trying to raise funds to buy a service dog for their 5-year-old son, Marshall, who has autism.

I wasn’t there more than 10 minutes before Marshall hugged my neck while I sat on the floor photographing him playing with his toy trains.

His parents said he loves to play with people’s hair, as he began to play with mine.

He is such a sweet boy, and I was so glad I was able to capture him as he fell into his mom, Gretchen’s, arms as she sat on the living room sofa.
