ST. CHARLES – The Fox Valley Repertory will celebrate the lives and music of The Andrews Sisters in its stage production of “Sisters of Swing.” The nostalgic musical, written by Beth Gilleland and Bob Beverage and directed by Fox Valley Rep artistic director John Gawlik, will be performed on the Pheasant Run Resort mainstage through July 27.

LaVerne, Maxene and Patty are The Andrews Sisters – a female vocal group that sold more than 90 million records; and had more Top 10 hits than the Beatles or Elvis, according to a news release.

Attendees can join The Andrew Sisters on their journey from their early days on the road and their rise as recording stars, to entertaining American soldiers overseas, and dissembling over differences.

“Sisters of Swing is more than just a revue of their memorable music of the 1930s and  ’40s,” said  Gawlik in the release. “While this production certainly tells the story of their rise and fall of their successes, it also reveals just how important their music was to us all, and how it truly changed America for the better. ... .” The cast of “Sisters of Swing” features Kellie Cundiff, David Hathway, Carol Rose and St. Charles native Brittany Stock.

“Sisters of Swing” showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. (Check schedule for special Thursday performances.)

Tickets cost $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. For tickets, call the Pheasant Run Box Office at 630-584-6342 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.

Pheasant Run Resort is located at 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles.
