Corn Boil seeks entrants for cooking challenge

SUGAR GROVE – The Sugar Grove Corn Boil will hold its cooking challenge at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the multi-purpose room of the John Shields Elementary School, 85 S. Main St., Sugar Grove.

The contest is open to any type of food recipe, whether it is an original or has been passed on for years. Three entry categories are light affair, main affair and baked affair. An entry form must be completely filled out and received by Saturday, July 26.  It can be mailed to Sugar Grove Corn Boil, Attn. Events Committee, PO Box 225, Sugar Grove, IL 60554, or entrants may bring it with them to the cooking challenge. Judging will begin by 11:45 a.m.

Winners will receive first-, second- and third-place awards in each category they will be featured on the Corn Boil website. For information and to view the entry form, visit www.sugargrovecornboil.org and click on Entertainment.
