Geneva resident Silva Gramlich, 67, was volunteering at the Geneva Library used book sale when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? Lignano Sabbaidoro in Italy. It means “golden sand.”
Pets? I have two dogs, a shih tzu named Tosca and a Maltese named Daisy.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Meryl Streep
First job? In an office
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to travel – be a missionary, a nun or flight attendant – and I became a hospital administrator in Columbus, Ohio. So I did travel.
Do you speak another language? Italian, English and French

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I have traveled to France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, China, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic and Java.
