I’ve always loved going to farmers markets. I like the idea of buying food straight from the farmer and learning all that went in to growing my favorite fruits and vegetables.
It’s also a nice way to be a part of your community.
There often are fresh eggs, honey and – of course – vegetables that were picked that day.
One of the farmers at a recent market told me his eggs were just gathered that morning.
At the Geneva Green Market, I had a chance to chat with local farmer and beekeeper Larry Geddes.
He is passionate about getting food locally and supporting our area farmers.
After I was done photographing, he also helped me choose just the right honey to help me with my spring allergies.
