BATAVIA – The Forest Preserve District of Kane County is inviting seniors to enjoy Kane County’s forested beauty through the free monthly "Senior Stroll" program.

On the first Thursday of each month, forest preserve naturalists lead informational walks about local fauna and flora. The program lasts approximately an hour with social time and refreshments following the walk.

The July 3 "Senior Stroll" takes place at Dick Young Forest Preserve beginning at the east entrance from 10 to 11:30 a.m. All guests are welcome, and registration is not required.

Dick Young Forest Preserve is located at 2S326 Nelson Road, Batavia. For more information or to view a list of upcoming nature programs, visit www.kaneforest.com or call 630-444-4190.
