Face Time with Stephanie Spolum

St. Charles resident Stephanie Spolum, 30, was walking her dog at the Fox River Bluff dog park in St. Charles when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? South side of Detroit

Pets? Bambi, a Pekingese-Dachshund mix

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Reese Witherspoon

First job? I taught piano when I was in high school.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A lawyer. I became a teacher. I teach music at St. Patrick's Catholic School in St. Charles.

Do you play an instrument? Piano

A book or movie you'd recommend? "A Game of Thrones" series by George R. R. Martin and for the movie, "The Notebook."

Favorite charity? The Colette A. Miles Foundation Friends for Courage. I will be raising money for the organization by running in the Fox Valley Marathon on Sept. 21.

What game show would you be on? "Family Feud"

Favorite local restaurant? Zaza's Italian Steakhouse in St. Charles.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I have run two full marathons and eight or nine half-marathons.
