In Focus: Play Ball

I’ve probably been to about three dozen Kane County Cougars games as a photographer, but last Thursday was only my third game as a spectator. 

It was nice to really soak in the ambiance, eat a bratwurst, get powdered sugar from my funnel cake all over my shirt and, most importantly, spend time with some very important people in my life.

That’s what’s so great about going to a Cougars game, they keep the kids entertained – like with their between-inning races and games, as pictured – and the adults get to watch great baseball. It also helps that the Cougars are doing really well in their standings.

We stayed until after the fireworks, and the kids got a chance to run around the bases under the lights. They were thrilled. 

So, thank you, Cougars fans and staff, for making Fifth Third Bank Ballpark a great night out for everyone.
