• Police responded to a solicitor complaint Wednesday, June 4, in the 700 block of Evergreen Drive, Sugar Grove. Police advised the solicitor that he needed a permit to solicit and could be cited if he continued.

• A business in the 1900 block of Route 30, Sugar Grove, reported Wednesday, June 4, that an employee forged medical reimbursement forms. The employee reportedly altered amounts paid for three doctor visits, and the difference was $1,641.40. The officer turned the report over to an investigator already working on forgery cases at the business.

• A resident reported Friday, June 13, that her account was used to make three unauthorized charges at a store in Michigan.

• A resident reported Tuesday, June 17, that information on his computer was jeopardized when he received a call claiming the online service he uses to monitor his computers for malware and viruses was going out of business, and the caller needed to access his computer remotely to conduct a refund. The caller reportedly kept asking for a debit card number. The resident disconnected the Internet after becoming suspicious and was reportedly threatened that his bank information would be accessed if he didn’t wire $400. The resident called police and the online service, who advised it was a scam.

• A smartphone was reported stolen Tuesday, June 17, from an unlocked vehicle at Jewel, 465 Route 47, Sugar Grove. Replacement costs were estimated at $700.

• A resident of the 100 block of Arbor Avenue, Sugar Grove, reported Tuesday, June 17, a neighbor shot BB pellets Sunday, June 15, at a target against a utility box. Police reported the utility box was dented.

• Fifty-four shell casings and one spent round were found Saturday, June 14, at the Sugar Grove Sports Complex, 901 Wheeler Road, Sugar Grove. A handicap parking sign near the casings had been struck 18 times.

• A resident of the 100 block of East Park Avenue, Sugar Grove, reported Monday, June 30, that his front door was ajar when he came home from work. A 50-inch and a 60-inch TV with a combined value of about $3,000 were reported stolen. No signs of forced entry were reported.

• A business of the 700 block of Heartland Drive, Sugar Grove, reported Monday, June 30, that a spare tire had been stolen from a company-owned vehicle.

• Nathanel S. Sohn, 18, of the 4500 block of Pamela Court, Long Grove, was charged Wednesday, June 25, with soliciting without a permit. He was reportedly soliciting roof and window replacements door-to-door and ignored an officer’s warning about needing a permit.

• Jessica M. Bish, 25, of the 41300 block of Denny Road, Sugar Grove, was charged Saturday, June 21, with driving under the influence of alcohol.

• A resident of the 900 block of Edgewood Drive, Sugar Grove, reported Wednesday, June 18, someone used his information to obtain a loan that had an outstanding balance of $645.

• Graffiti was reported Wednesday, June 18, at Walnut Woods Park, 945 Norris Road, Sugar Grove.
