St. Charles resident Kristen Isacson, 44, was with her dog, Payton, and daughter, Morgan, 11, at the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center dog park in St. Charles when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Wood Dale.

Pets? Payton, a beagle-coon hound mix.

First job? Dad's bicycle store – Addison Cycle Center.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher, and I am one. I teach high school math in West Chicago.

A book you'd recommend? All the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling.

Favorite charity? Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

What game show would you be on? "Jeopardy."

Favorite local restaurant? Filling Station Pub and Grill in St. Charles.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? Payton is from Rover Rescue.
