Paving work to begin on Corron and Silver Glen roads

Published: Wednesday, July 9, 2014 4:41 p.m. CDT

Starting the week of Monday, July 14, milling and paving on Corron and Silver Glen roads will begin. Construction work hours on both segments will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

Corron Road will be worked on from Bowes Road to McDonald Road. And Silver Glen Road will be worked on from Randall Road to Corron Road. The process includes removal of an inch of existing pavement to allow for the new surface course to be placed and placement of two inches of an asphalt layer over an oil application to provide a new smooth riding surface.

Temporary daily lane closures Monday through Saturday will be required to accomplish this work. For information, call 630-816-9671 or visit www.co.kane.il.us/dot/trafficalerts.
