GENEVA – Geneva police charged 17 people at two underage drinking parties. The mayor's daughter was among those arrested, according to police reports.

Police came to a party about 10:30 p.m. June 27 at a house on the 2900 block of Husking Peg Lane, where 10 were charged with underage drinking.

Nine were charged under local ordinance violations, but the mayor's daughter, Florence C. Burns, 20, of the 1600 block of Kaneville Road, is facing state charges of underage drinking. She is scheduled to appear in branch court on Tuesday.
