Car flips in Campton Hills

CAMPTON HILLS – Two drivers were involved in an incident Tuesday morning that resulted in one car being flipped onto its side.

A 16-year-old girl from South Elgin pulled out from Bolcum Road onto Burlington Road in Campton Hills in front of a 28-year-old man from St. Charles, Campton Hills Police Chief Dan Hoffman said. The man swerved to avoid a collision and flipped his 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, Hoffman said.

There were no injuries, and both parties were wearing seatbelts, he said. The girl was issued a citation for failure to yield before turning left, Hoffman said.
