Two suspects sought in Aurora Township armed robbery

AURORA – The Kane County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at an auto repair business at 1905 N. Farnsworth Ave., in Aurora Township.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:50 p.m. According to the two victims, at approximately 11:50 a.m., two subjects armed with rifles approached their auto repair business, Technically Automotive, and demanded they give them jewelry, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

The victims did not have any jewelry to give them, the release stated. The two suspects forced the victims inside the business and tied them up. The victims were ordered into a bathroom, according to the release.

The victims were told to stay in the business for 30 minutes before they could leave. Before being tied up, one of the victims gave the suspects approximately $2,000 in cash, the release stated.

The suspects left in an unknown direction of travel. There is a jewelry store in the front of the building where the auto repair business is located.

One of the suspects was identified as a black man 30 to 40 years old and between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball hat, white pants, dark shoes, dark-rimmed glasses with curved amber lenses and garden style gloves.

The other suspect was described as a black female 25 to 30 years old and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 145 to 150 pounds. She was wearing a dark black baseball hat, dark hooded shirt, baggy clothes, and a gold stud piercing in her tongue.
