Two suspects sought in Aurora Township armed robbery

AURORA – The Kane County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects in an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at an auto repair business located at 1905 N. Farnsworth Avenue in unincorporated Aurora Township.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:50 p.m. According to the two victims, at approximately 11:50 a.m., two subjects armed with rifles approached their auto repair business, Technically Automotive, and demanded they give them jewelry, stated a press release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

The victims did not have any jewelry to give them, the release stated. The two suspects forced the victims inside the business and tied them up. They were then ordered into a bathroom, according to the release.

The victims were told to stay in the business for 30 minutes before they could leave. Prior to being tied up, one of the victims gave the suspects approximately $2,000 in cash, the release stated.

The suspects left in an unknown direction of travel. There is a jewelry store located in the front of the building where the auto repair business is located.

One of the suspects was identified as a black man 30-40 years old and between 5 foot 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball hat, white pants, dark shoes, dark rimmed glasses with curved amber lenses and garden style gloves.

The other suspect was described as a black female 25-30 years old and 6 foot, two inches tall, weighing 145 to 150 pounds. She was wearing a dark black baseball hat, dark hoodie, baggy clothes, and a gold stud piercing in her tongue.
