Face Time with Deborah Martin

Batavia resident Deborah Martin, 46, was walking around downtown Batavia asking for donations for the Batavia Music Buffs when she answered 10 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.  

Where did you grow up? Lowellville, Ohio

Pets? A Chihuahua-rat terrier mix named Precious and a cat named Spike

Do you have children? Yes, two

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Andie MacDowell

First job? Hosting at a restaurant

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A nurse, and I’m in nursing school at Waubonsee Community College

Favorite charity? Batavia Music Buffs

What game show would you be on? “Wheel of Fortune”

Favorite local restaurant? All of the locally owned establishments

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? My father was the fourth of 10 children, so when we have a family reunion, it’s more than 300 people and we have to rent a pavilion at a park in Ohio.
