BATAVIA – The Fermilab Lecture Series will present "The Science of Speed: Why Driving Fast is Harder than it Looks" at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at Ramsey Auditorium in Wilson Hall, the high-rise building on Fermilab's campus.
The main entrance is at Pine Street and Kirk Road in Batavia.
The speaker is Diandra Leslie-Pelecky, author of "The Physics of NASCAR" and the blog "Building Speed." She set out to learn if understanding the science of speed translates into being a good race car driver.
