Kane County Sheriff's Office police reports

• A 2013 Hyundai was reported damaged Sunday, July 20, from a hit-and-run accident while it was parked at Marklund Van Der Molen Home, 1S406 Wyatt Drive, Geneva.

• A former resident of the 38W300 block of Hilltop Drive, Campton Township, reported Friday, July 18, his motorcycle was stolen from the property last August. He told police he wished to report the theft now because he forgot to do so then.

• Adam Thomas, 21, of the 700 block of Hickory Lane, Carol Stream, was charged Sunday, July 20, with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Kirk Road and Route 64 in St. Charles. He was also arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of criminal trespass to a vehicle.

• A mailbox was reported vandalized Sunday, July 20, in the 37W900 block of Tanglewood Drive, Batavia.

• Steven S. Shearer, 36, of the 0-100 block of Christian Court, Oswego, was charged Tuesday, July 22, with disorderly conduct after a disturbance at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles Township.

• A resident of the 40W000 block of Hughes Road, Elburn, told police Tuesday, July 22, she believed she was the victim of a scam when a buyer of a pool table she listed for sale on Craigslist sent her a $3,000 check and asked for $1,880 back. The buyer reportedly claimed he was shot while retrieving the money and requested more.

• Pancake syrup and flour was reportedly poured onto the hood of a 2003 vehicle in the 43W100 block of Kenmar Drive, Blackberry Township, between midnight and 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 23. The vehicle did not appear damaged after it was hosed off.

• Zackery L. Moore, 24, of the 200 block of South Batavia Avenue, Batavia, was arrested Friday, July 25, on a warrant.
