Wingville Charities to host Washer Tourney and Wingnite in Aurora

AURORA – Wingville Charities, a nonprofit organization that helps those in need and puts "the fun in fundraising," will host a Washer Tourney and Wingnite at noon Saturday, Aug. 2, at 2668 Wydown Lane, Aurora.

Cost is $20 to attend and $30 to attend and participate in the Washer Tourney, a game that is somewhat similar to bags but played with large metal washers.

Registration and practice will start at noon, with the tournament scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Teams will consist of two players each, and partners may be chosen in advance. Nonplayers and children will be welcome. Burgers, hotdogs and beer will be provided.

The tournament will be followed by a Wingnite – where hot wings will be served – and raffle.

Reservations are needed by Thursday, July 31, and can be made by emailing info@wingvillecharities.com.
