Semi-truck destroyed in Batavia fire

BATAVIA – A semi-truck owned by a Batavia company was destroyed in a fire early Wednesday morning.

No one was injured in the fire, which caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the truck, owned by Diamond Rigging, 680 Kingsland Drive. Batavia firefighters continue to investigate the cause of the fire.

Batavia Deputy Fire Chief Randy Banker in a press release said the truck was a "total loss." Firefighters responded to the scene at 5:21 a.m., and had it under control at 5:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, the cab of the semi truck was fully engulfed in flames.
