Kane County Cougars to host Peanut Free Night on Friday

GENEVA – The Kane County Cougars and Fifth Third Bank will bring awareness to those afflicted with peanut allergies with Peanut Free Night on Friday, Aug. 1, at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, 34W002, Cherry Lane, Geneva.

“No peanuts or peanut-related products will be sold at the ballpark during that night's 6:30 p.m. game against Quad Cities, and special efforts have been made to clean the ballpark to rid it of any peanut residue, in order to make it a fun evening for Cougars fans with peanut allergies,” said Curtis Haug, Kane County Cougars vice president and general manager, in a news release from the Cougars.

Fifth Third Bank will be onsite handing out special peanut allergy identification bracelets, peanut-free cookies and allergy factsheets to the first 1,500 children that identify themselves with a peanut allergy.
