NORTH AURORA – The North Aurora Police Department is investigating an incident of public indecency and disorderly conduct.

About 6 p.m. Thursday, an 11-year-old girl was approached by a male subject in a car in the area of Western Drive and Sterkel Road. The man asked the girl for directions to two different locations, states a news release from the North Aurora Police Department.

The girl was unable to answer the man’s questions. The man then appeared to perform a sexual act while in his car and continued to ask the girl sexually-related questions, states the release. The girl fled the scene and was not harmed. The man then drove away southbound on Western Drive, the release states.

The male suspect is described as white, average to heavy set, having short hair, with a mustache and beard that was reddish brown, and he was wearing a navy blue baseball cap and sunglasses.
