RiverEdge to host Fox Valley Irish Festival on Saturday

AURORA – The Fox Valley Irish Festival will take place from 1 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway St., Aurora.

The event will feature live music by the Tossers, Bogside Zukes and Anish on the Main Stage.

Family-friendly activities will include a petting zoo, freckle contest, ice cream-eating contest, Irish crafts for kids, bag pipers, Irish dancers, a bounce house, food vendors and face painting.

Activites more geared toward adults will include a Jameson whiskey tasting, Irish beer, a hurling demo, Guinness glass etching and Irish authors Mary Pat Kelly and Conor Cunneen.

Tickets cost $10 for those ages 15 and older and $5 for those ages 14 and younger. Children ages 2 and younger will be admitted free of charge.
