Kane County Recycles event will accept books, electronics

ST. CHARLES – Kane County Recycles will accept electronics and books at a recycling event set from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 9, at 540 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

Also, visitors can pick up the new Kane County Recycles Green Guide for 2014-2015. Items such as computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, TVs (any size or age), stereos, cellphones and microwaves will be accepted. Large items, such as washing machines and refrigerators, will not be accepted. Books can be recycled as well. Visit www.countyofkane.org/recycling under “Electronics Recycling" for information. Only books and electronics will be accepted at this event, but confidential items will be shredded at an event set on Saturday, Sept. 14.
