Fallen firefighters golf outing set

GENEVA – The Geneva Fire Department is hosting the Sixth Annual National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Golf Outing at noon Saturday, Aug. 9 at Bliss Creek Golf Club, 1 Golf View Drive, Sugar Grove 

All proceeds benefit the foundation and their programs.

Cost of the event is $100 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch and a steak dinner. Hole sponsorship is $350. For those who just want dinner, the cost is $30.

Registration is at noon, shotgun start at 1 p.m. following lunch, dinner at 5:30 p.m. with raffle prizes. Free driving range tokens will be available for anyone who needs to loosen up before play.

The play offers Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin, an Eagle Putt hole and a Rory McIlroy hole where golfers can tee off from the fairway.

Raffle items including putters, a rescue club, gift cards for local restaurants, complimentary golf simulator rental from Fairways-Chicago, Foursomes w/ carts for golf, golf attire/accessories, a Kindle and Chicago Blackhawks memorabilia.
