BATAVIA – A Batavia police car was involved in a crash with a minivan Tuesday afternoon, but police said they are not releasing details until their internal investigation is completed.

Detective Kevin Bretz said the 2012 Ford Crown Victoria was involved in a crash with a minivan at 2:12 p.m. Tuesday on Randall Road, south of Mill Creek Drive and north of Heritage Drive.

Bretz said information – such as the name of the officer, the minivan driver, who was at fault, if anyone got a ticket or whether the police car was totaled – would not be released until an internal investigation is completed.
