ST. CHARLES – Goldfish Swim School will celebrate its one-year anniversary in St. Charles with a back to school bash, the school announced in a news release Friday.

The celebration is set from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the school, 3455 Legacy Blvd. Activities include a free family swim, face painting, raffles and a dunk tank.

Food and beverages, including juice boxes for kids, also will be available.

Led by his passion for swimming and for coaching, Northwestern University swimming alumnus Alex Tyler started the franchise.

“I originally came to the Chicago area for college and just stayed,” he said in a written statement. “It was a good fit.”

Goldfish Swim School teaches children of all ages and abilities. Classes include introductory parent-tot programs, beginner swimmer lessons and advanced pro-level lessons.

It also offers a recreational swim team, weekend birthday parties and open swim times for families.
