St. Charles North automotive training program gets accreditation

ST. CHARLES – The automotive training program at St. Charles North High School has received accreditation by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, according to a news relese. St. Charles North’s automotive program has been accredited in maintenance and light repair.

To achieve this recognition, the school’s automotive training program underwent rigorous evaluation by the NATEF. Nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas such as instruction, facilities, and equipment were used, the release stated. ASE is a national nonprofit organization which tests and certifies repair technicians, in addition to accrediting automotive training programs.

The auto program at St. Charles East High School also is a nationally accredited program and was granted that status earlier this summer, the release stated.
